As the carrier of Chinese,Chinese characters have recorded the Chinese civilization that over thousands of years.It is also the most intuitive way to convey Chinese culture to the world.In the process of learning Chinese,foreign students generally believe that Chinese characters are a major difficulty in learning Chinese.As the phenomenon mentioned above,this paper combines real corpus with literature analysis,error analysis and interview method,at the same time,classifies and summarizes the error types of Chinese characters written by intermediate and advanced level Thai students.In this paper,the writing errors of Chinese characters for intermediate and advanced level Thai students are divided into two major categories: elements categories and full-character categories.The number of each category is counted and the data is processed.According to the analysis,it was found that the increase in the number of strokes and the replacement of parts were the two most prominent problems in the factor category error.This paper further combines supplementary with interview results,and summarizes the causes of error from three aspects of writing,students,and teaching.Based on the types and causes of errors in terms of writing Chinese characters written by intermediate and advanced level Thai students,the paper proposes targeted teaching suggestions: to change the teaching thinking of Chinese characters,to adjust the focus of Chinese teaching,and to optimize the means of Chinese teaching.It will help improve the method of teaching Chinese characters as a foreign language to Thai students.As well help teachers better grasp the students' dynamic process and thinking patterns in Chinese learning so as to find a way to reduce the difficulty of teaching Chinese characters and improve the efficiency of Chinese teaching.At the end of the paper,the author summarizes the viewpoints and shortcomings of the thesis,and also forecasts the future research direction,with a view to providing reference data for the research and development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The author hopes to provide reference for the research and development of Chinese teaching.
