Style teaching in the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, is one of the research directions caught much attention but with just a few achievements. In this thesis, by adopting the methods of theoretical research and empirical research, we’re trying to study on Intermediate and Advanced level Chinese learners’ written assignments. Based on the ontology research of Chinese language, this thesis summarizes the style elements, which are regarded as the distinctive characteristics in different styles.Based on the above work, we collected the written assignments of intermediate and advanced level foreign students, as well as the composition of HSK dynamic composition corpus as the object of study, to analyze the style errors. From the angle of style elements, we investigated the causes of errors, and found that the reasons lie in the teaching outlines, teaching materials, classroom teaching and evaluation, as well as the students themselves. In addition, in this thesis, according to the investigation results, we proposed the suggestions for teaching and learning respectively, and expected to improve the teaching activity.
