| Currently,movie has become one of the major communications in people’s daily work and life and watching movies has gradually become the primary way of entertainment.In China,the annual person-time of movie watching and annual box office are in increasing year by year so that the film industry has embodied huge commercial value.At the same time,China’s urban construction has entered a peak period,which has promoted urban modernization.In this case,city film gains an excellent development opportunity.Therefore,considering the specificity and distinction of city film in Chongqing,the author chooses Chongqing as an example to study.In the 1990 s,with the formal establishment and gradual improvement of the socialist market economy system,China’s urbanization began to accelerate under the stimulus of economic development,and Chongqing gradually got rid of the previous state of stagnation and slow urbanization process.During this period,Chongqing also carried out a full swing of modernization.After being formally listed as a municipality directly under the central government in 1997,the urbanization development of Chongqing has been vigorously promoted under the guidance of policy and region advantages.Under the circumstance,Chongqing underwent drastic changes,whose urban buildings are in refurbishing,living standards of urban residents significantly improving,acute problems coming up and so on.This background provides an excellent creative environment for film directors who focus on urban changes,making Chongqing one of the main locations for urban films.Since then,urban films created in Chongqing have taken “city” as the key point of expression,and “city” has become an important element in film narration.Therefore,the research scope of this paper is defined as urban films shot in Chongqing from 1997 to 2019.Nowadays,the urban modernization in China has been greatly enhanced,which majors in shifting their development focus to the introduction of high-quality resources.And the need for talent has become increasingly fierce.It is vital to use the media to build a good city image for cities to win this competition.In recent years,the film’s communication function has been continuously enlarged and becomes one of the important information transmission channels.In a word,it is of great practical significance for the film to create a good city image.Under the guidance of Lippmann’s “mimicry environment” theory,the author takes Chongqing city as an example.The two subjects of this theory,“media” and “audience” are taken as the research orientation to explore the shaping and spreading capacity of city films on Chongqing city image.The content of each part of this paper is summarized as follows:Chapter one is introduction.The author puts forward the research background,significance,content,methods,difficulties and innovations and outlines domestic and foreign research status and basic theories.Chapter two is overview of city film and Chongqing image.This paper defines the concept of city film and city image,expounds the development history of Chinese city film and the regional characteristics of Chongqing and summarizes the three stages of film media presenting the city image of Chongqing.Chapter three is the elements presenting of city film to Chongqing image.In this chapter,the representative city films of Chongqing image building are selected as the target samples for content analysis.The symbols of Chongqing landscape and city group are extracted for image interpretation,which indicates the presentation and use of Chongqing elements in city films.Chapter four is about the image of Chongqing city,which takes Lefebvre’s “spatial ternary theory” as the research framework,expounds the urban image of Chongqing shaped by city films from three dimensions of “material image”,“spiritual image” and “social image”.Chapter five is the effect of city film on the image of Chongqing city.Through a comprehensive analysis of the questionnaire data from the perspective of the film audience,the author summarizes the effects of city films on the shaping and communication of city image.Chapter six is the advantages,disadvantages and optimization strategies of the city film on the image building of Chongqing.Based on the previous research,this paper outlines the advantages and disadvantages of urban films in the aspects of “media content” and “communication” at the present stage and proposes the corresponding optimization strategies. |
