A novel coronavirus spread to various parts of the world. To prevent the spread of the outbreak, the Malaysian Muhyiddin government decided to implement a movement restriction order on March 18 to close the country. It forced Chinese language teaching efforts to shift from traditional offline teaching to online teaching. However, whether teaching offline or online, instructional design is particularly prominent.A high-quality teaching design can not only maximize learners’ enthusiasm for learning Chinese and improve classroom efficiency. And it can also ensure the orderly development of teaching content and complete teaching tasks. This thesis is based on psychology theory and educational communication theory, following the principles of network teaching design, and combining the practice of Chinese distance teaching on the network platform of the Microsoft Team of the Malaysian University of Technology, designing of "HSK Standard Course" Book 1,Lesson 8 "I’d like some tea." Based on the establishment of teaching goals, analysis of the key and difficult points of teaching, and selection of teaching content, teaching methods such as lectures and intuitive deduction are used to try to design a four-class teaching plan.Make full use of the interactive nature of the Internet,in order to supplement students’ interest in Chinese learning and effectively improve their Chinese communicative skills. It is hoped that this design can provide a useful substitute for Chinese teachers. This thesis is divided into five parts:The first chapter is the introductory part, which mainly discusses the background and significance of the selected topic. The second chapter is for the theoretical basis of online teaching design. The third chapter is the analysis of factors related to "I’d like some tea." and the specific design scheme.Chapter 4 is the summary and reflection of the teaching analysis part.Chapter 5 is the concluding remarks.
