| With the continuous development of educational concepts and modern educational technology,Blended Teaching Model effectively combines traditional classroom teaching with online learning methods and complements the advantages of the two.In2014,Professor Zhang Xuexin of Fudan University proposed PAD Class teaching model consisting of lectures,internalized absorption and discussion links in response to the problems in classroom teaching.It surpassed the fixed teaching models and methods and became the implementation of classroom revolution and creation of gold.Reading is one of the basic skills of language learning and an important part.At present,there are still many problems in English reading teaching in junior middle schools,which are mainly manifested in two aspects: reading ability and reading motivation.This research applies the combination of Micro Video and PAD Class teaching models to the practice of English reading teaching in junior middle schools,aiming to improve and solve problems in English reading teaching and provide new ideas for the further integration of information technology and English teaching.On the basis of reviewing a large number of relevant documents,this research is based on Constructivism,Humanism and Deep Learning Theories.48 junior middle school students are used as the research objects to conduct this teaching experiment,using experimental method,classroom observation method,questionnaire survey method and interview method,explored how to apply the “Micro Video-PAD Class”Blended Teaching Model and whether this model can improve the English reading learning effect and motivation of junior middle school students.Through the statistics and analysis of the results of the three tests,the observation results of students’ classroom performance,the results of the questionnaire survey of reading motivation and the results of teacher interviews,this research mainly has the following findings.First,summarize the implementation process of the “Micro Video-PAD Class” Blended Teaching Model in junior middle school English reading teaching.Second,“Micro Video-PAD Class” Blended Teaching Model has a significant optimization effect on the English reading learning effect of junior middle school students.Third,the “Micro Video-PAD Class” Blended Teaching Model greatly improves the reading motivation of junior middle school students.In summary,this research has verified from different perspectives that the “Micro Video-PAD Class” Blended Teaching Model can optimize the English reading learning effect and learning motivation of junior middle school students.It has certain theoretical significance and practical application value.However,due to the limitations of subjective and objective conditions,this study also has several shortcomings,such as limited research time,small sample size of the research objects and the author’s own lack of teaching experience.In the future research,the author hopes to have a further research on the “Micro Video-PAD Class” Blended Teaching Model. |
