| Dragon dance is a folklore activity with a long history that widely exists in southern China.It contains the Chinese nation’s outlook on nature and the universe.It has become a symbol of the Chinese nation’s international identity and was selected as one of the earliest intangible cultural heritages in my country.This article takes the dragon dance lantern in Cuijia Village,Yanhe Tujia Autonomous County,Guizhou Province as a case study to discuss the role of dragon dance lantern culture in rural daily life and what social value the dragon dance lantern has in contemporary times.The first part of this paper summarizes the construction history,natural environment,social economy and other conditions of Yanhe Tujia Autonomous County,in order to understand the generation field of dragon dance culture in Cuijia village;secondly,it combs the legends related to dragon dance,discusses the origin of dragon dance,and combs the vertical changes of dragon dance.The second part makes a detailed investigation on the process of dragon dance activities to understand the roles of people of different gender,age and identity in the process of dragon dance activities,and further analyzes the function of dragon dance in the construction of rural daily life.The third part of the dragon dance activities of people,things,things for a deeper analysis.The first is about the time and space choice of dragon dance,to explore the understanding of Cuijia village on nature,universe and society,as well as their inner beliefs.Secondly,it analyzes the objects used in the process of dragon dance.From the symbols and metaphors reflected by the objects,we can have a deeper understanding of the concept and purpose reflected by dragon dance.At the same time,it analyzes the exchange of people and other dimensions of the world in the dragon dance activities,and explores the construction and strengthening of people’s self social network behind the dragon dance activities.The fourth part discusses the historical and cultural value of dragon dance.Through the study of dragon dance culture in Cuijia village of Yanhe Tujia Autonomous County,it can be found that the dragon dance in Cuijia village is created by villagers in the face of natural disorder and social anomie.It is composed of dragon dance,ritual performance,house to house dragon dance,and exchange with God / human.This series of complex activities can be performed year by year,thanks to the long-term interaction within the village The habit of collaboration.The dragon lantern shows the respect for nature / gods,and the ethical rules of different men and women,orderly growth and development,and mutual assistance among neighbors,which nourish the people in this community and maintain a good ecological and social harmony in this community.Dragon dance culture is still of great value and significance in today’s construction of ecological civilization,meeting people’s cultural needs,promoting rural revitalization,and casting a strong sense of the Chinese national community. |
