Pre-qin Confucian Political Morality Thought And Its Contemporary Value Research

Confucianism has a far-reaching influence on Chinese traditional political culture,especially the pre Qin Confucian political ethics represented by Confucius,Mencius and Xunzi,which not only has a great influence on Chinese traditional political culture,but also has great value in contemporary times.Marxist philosophy believes that "social existence determines social consciousness".The pre Qin Confucian thought of political morality originated in the spring and Autumn period and Warring States period,which is a reflection of the society at that time.The excellent elements contained in it still have positive value for reference in contemporary times.This paper analyzes the background characteristics of the formation of Pre-Qin Confucian political ethics,and then discusses the Pre-Qin Confucian political ethics,and finally expounds its combination with the contemporary governance.This paper is divided into four parts to discuss the pre Qin Confucian thought of political morality.The first part discusses the background of pre Qin Confucian political ethics.From the economic,political and cultural background of the pre Qin Dynasty,this paper discusses the era background of the formation of Confucius,Mencius and Xunzi’s political and moral thoughts.The second part discusses the specific practice of pre Qin Confucian political ethics.Through the analysis of the theoretical source of the political morality thought of the pre Qin Confucianism,this paper focuses on the political morality thought of Confucius,Mencius and Xunzi.The pre Qin Confucian thought of political morality began with Confucius’ idea of "governing with morality".Mencius put forward the thought of benevolent government for the first time,and put Confucius into practice Xunzi’s theory of benevolence is really applied to politics.Xunzi’s thought of political morality is embodied in the way of the monarch and his officials,as well as in the aspects of "promoting etiquette to law,ruling the country by etiquette and law" and "morality is the main part of punishment,and each uses its place",which further inherits and develops Confucius and Mencius’ thought of political morality.The third part discusses the characteristics of pre Qin Confucian political ethics.The characteristics of pre Qin Confucian thought of political morality can be summarized as the following four aspects,namely,adhering to the principle of unity of "self-reliance" and "peace of the world",emphasizing the concept of national governance of the integration of family and country,taking "people as the foundation of the country" as an important benchmark of governance,and taking etiquette and law as an important content of the thought of political morality.The fourth part discusses the contemporary value of pre Qin Confucian political ethics.Confucius "governing with morality" is the first creation of Confucian political morality thought,and then attaches importance to the role of morality in politics,emphasizing the promotion of the moral cultivation of politicians themselves.Specifically,in the aspect of governing with morality,it mainly reflects the improvement of the moral cultivation ability of Kong,Meng and Xun;In terms of diligence,it is mainly reflected in the construction of Confucian service ability,political consciousness and talent training ability,so as to better realize the purpose of serving the government with morality;In terms of modern governance,it is mainly reflected in the Confucian Rule of law,the combination of etiquette and punishment to govern the country,and the excavation of the modern value of Confucian political ethics.
