The Studies On Taoist Writing Of "The Water Margin"

There are a lot of descriptions of Taoism in The Water Margin.As far as its content is concerned,it mainly includes Taoist figures,Taoist rituals,Taoist buildings and famous Taoist mountains.The writing of The Water Margin is not written by accident,but is closely related to the occurrence,development and social background of the story of it.At the same time,the Taoist writing in The Water Margin also plays an important role in the book,and has a certain function in the thought and art of the book.The purpose of this paper is to reveal the formation process of Taoist writing and explore the role of Taoist writing in The Water Margin.This paper is divided into four chapters,from the following aspects.The first chapter discusses the Taoist writing in the early Water Margin story Xuan He legacy of the great Song Dynasty and the water margin drama script of the Yuan Dynasty.By analyzing the Taoist characters such as Jiu tian Xuan nv and Zhang Tianshi,and the concepts of "Gang star" and "magic star",it discusses the origin of the two stories with the water margin.The second chapter discusses The Water Margin from three aspects:Taoist characters,Taoist activities,Taoist famous mountains and buildings.Through the analysis of the main Taoist characters,Taoist activities,Taoist famous mountains and Taoist buildings in The Water Margin.This paper makes a comprehensive study of the Taoist writing in The Water Margin.In the third chapter,from the perspective of Taoist writing of The Water Margin,the paper try to discusses the characteristics on Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism in a holistic perspective.The fourth chapter discusses the artistic function mainly from the structural function and narrative function of Taoist writing in The Water Margin.For structure function,this paper compares The Water Margin to the Hall of Supreme Harmony to discuss its function.For narrative function,this paper explores to the functions of Taoist language environment,Taoist immortal,Taoist prophecy and Taoist magic in The Water Margin.
