The Absurd Writing In The Novel Hard-boiled Wonderland And The End Of The World

As a famous contemporary Japanese novelist,Haruki Murakami’s fourth novel,The End of the World and the Grim Wonderland,has been widely discussed since its publication.The novel vividly shows the absurd experience of modern life in the real world and the spiritual world by the unique narration of two parallel lines.From the perspective of the absurdity theory in existentialism philosophy,this thesis takes The End of the World and the Grim Wonderland as the main research object to explore the embodiment,source and coping methods of absurdity in the novel,so as to feel the artistic value and unique charm of the novel while deeply exploring the connotation of this novel.This paper consists of three parts: introduction,four chapters of texts and conclusion.The introduction briefly introduces the research ideas,research innovation points and the current research status of this topic in the academic circle from three aspects of the research reasons,domestic and foreign research review and innovation.The main-body is divided into four parts.The first chapter mainly introduces existentialism philosophy and its absurd theory,which makes a clear definition for the theoretical support part of this paper.The second chapter mainly analyzes the expression of absurdity in the works from two aspects: the world of absurdity and the absurdist.The first section analyzes the completely different experience of absurdity in the two worlds from the parallel way of the novel,and the second section elaborates how the novel presents the theme of absurdity from the narration of self-separation,loneliness and sense of nothingness.The third chapter selects four key images: science and technology,nocturnal ghosts,walls and history to analyze the origin of absurdity in the novel,and further clarifies that the absurdity in the novel all has its real origin basis.The fourth chapter is based on the former two chapters,concretely explores the response to absurdity in the novel.Through the analysis of the straight face absurd attitude in the novel,the plot setting to the forest and the ingenious design of the music,emphasizes that the novel shows the absurd appearance,but discusses the anti-absurd ending.
