Research On Vietnam’s Folk Songs Of Vietnamese War Of Resistance Against France And The United States Of Ameirca

As vivid historical materials,the folk songs during the Vietnamese war of resistance against France and The United States of Ameirca are rich in profound political and historical background,rich cultural and artistic connotations,and show distinctive contemporary style and cultural characteristics as well.Thus,this paper takes the folk songs of Vietnam’s war against France and The United States of Ameirca as the research object,and firstly expounds the social and historical background,reasons and source of creation.The main reasons lie in the advocacy and encouragement of the Communist Party of Vietnam,the promotion of the revolutionary movement,and the nurturing role of traditional folk songs;revolutionary intellectuals,soldiers and the masses workers and peasants are the main sources of folk songs.Secondly,the characteristics of the folk songs at that time mainly include: the change of the identity of the folk songs’ s authors,the prominence and strengthen of the social functions of the folk songs,the expression of collective social emotions,the Time spirit of the content,and a distinctive and unified theme.The theme of the folk songs mainly focuses on three aspects: the reappearance of the social life of Vietnam at that time,the mobilization of the anti war,the praise of the Communist Party of Vietnam and chairman Ho Chi Minh as well as the military and civil sentiment;finally,the artistic style and expression of the folk songs are analyzed.The folk songs at the special enviroment have great value of the times,reflecting directly the formation of the national spirit of the times and the collective wisdom of the Vietnamese people.
