| In the context of the complex development of rural,ethnic and heritage tourism,a complex cultural phenomenon of tourism has emerged in ethnic areas,including the tourist guestbook.This kind of guestbook has the following properties: firstly,it is a relational,practical and expressive linguistic landscape;secondly,it is a product of“host-guest” interaction;thirdly,it is a carrier of tourism experience expression,which reflects the hosts’ and tourists’ demands for self-identity and self-value realization.More importantly,as a symbolic system and a medium of communication,the visitor’ s guestbook not only records the tourist’ s travel experience and feelings,reflects people’ s values and cultural mentality,but also records the natural,historical,folk culture and other environmental characteristics of a region,and reproduces the development trajectory and direction of local culture.It has certain research value.Based on the concepts of linguistic landscape,self,place,and text as well as symbolic interaction theory and mirror theory,this study selects the guestbook of Baisha Ancient Street in Lijiang,Yunnan Province as the research object,and uses the participant observation method and unstructured interview method in the field survey method to understand the life experiences of the hosts of Baisha Ancient Street and the way they interact with tourists,and obtains the guestbook of tourists by taking photos and borrowing it,and then uses the content analysis method is then used to process and analyze the guestbook data in order to reveal the significance of the tourists’ self-representation,local presentation,and the guestbook itself.The paper is divided into five chapters: Chapter 1 is the introductory part,which starts from the background of the study,describes the significance of the study,gives a systematic overview of domestic and foreign research developments,and introduces relevant concepts and theoretical foundations,briefly describes the research methods and research ideas;Chapter 2 introduces the tourism industry of Baisha Ancient Street,composes the process of the generation and development of the guestbook behavior of Baisha Ancient Street,and tries to explain the nature of the tourist guestbook behavior;Chapter 3 is based on the previous results of classification,and then uses the content analysis method to process and analyze the guestbook data in order to reveal the meaning of tourist self-representation and place presentation as well as the guestbook itself.Chapter three codes and statistically analyzes the guestbook content based on the previous classification results and using content analysis method;chapter four theoretical analysis about the tourist guestbook reveals the tourist self-discovery in the tourist guestbook and the local presentation of the guestbook,and further explores the significance of the guestbook for the host;chapter five summarizes the research results of the text and proposes the outlook for the shortcomings of the study.The findings of the study are as follows: first,the content structure of the guestbook in Baisha Ancient Street includes six main categories: tourist motivation,tourism vision,destination perception image,tourism interaction,tourism experience,and life perception.Second,the content of the text reflects the tourist experience and self-identity of the tourists.Third,the content of the text reproduces the local characteristics of Baisha Ancient Street.Fourth,the visitor guestbook of Baisha Ancient Street reflects the identity and value demands of the hosts. |
