Contradiction And Resolution

The contradictory tension in Zhuangzi’s thought has always been a major problem in researching Zhuangzi.Paradoxes,strange words,and changing style of writing,contradictions are manifested in all aspects of "Zhuangzi".The understanding of Zhuangzi’s contradictions has undergone a process of deepening and deepening in the academic circles.Especially the research results of the contradictions of Zhuangzi since the1980 s,it have laid a solid foundation for follow-up research.However,there is still room for further exploration in the study of the contradiction of Zhuangzi and its aesthetic value.As far as Zhuangzi’s thought itself is concerned,the contradiction stems from his thinking about the spiritual realm of Tao,that is,how to implement the Tao of ontology into the spiritual realm of individuals.From the perspective of Tao itself,this is the contradiction between Tao’s "inaction and intangibility" and manifestation;from the perspective of individual,in epistemology,there is a contradiction between "knowledge" and Tao;in experience theory,existing a contradiction between the general living experience and experience of “Tao”.As far as Zhuangzi’s thought itself is concerned,the contradiction stems from his thinking about the spiritual realm of Tao,that is,how to implement the Tao of ontology into the spiritual realm of individuals.From the perspective of Tao itself,this is the contradiction between Tao’s "inaction and intangibility" and manifestation.From the perspective of individual,there is the contradiction between "knowledge" and Tao in epistemology,and the contradiction between general living experience and experience of “Tao” in experience theory.Zhuangzi’s resolution of the triple contradictions is also the process of his understanding of the spiritual “Tao”,and this process is realized in an aesthetic way of artistic sublimation.This started with Zhuangzi’s "imagery" of the ontological way,and the most important thing was the realization of life and the realm of experience.First of all,Zhuangzi "images" the Tao of ontology.Specifically,the Tao is represented by heaven,the Tao is represented by fables,and the experience of Tao can be manifested by skills.Secondly,in terms of epistemology,the understanding of the Tao must be broken away from the objectified knowledge,pulling me from the opposite of the world back to being in the world.According to this,Zhuangzi transferred knowledge from the game of language concepts to the experience of daily life,in which he used tautology to observe and appreciate the "Daoshu" of virtue.Finally,to dissolve the concealment of the body from the general life experience requires the realmization of life experience.Zhuangzi’s realmization is the joyful practice of entertainment,that is,entertainment in life,extending the joy of art to trivial life.
