Cao Pi is a famous writer in the Eastern Jin Dynasty and an important literary member of the Cao family in Qiaojun.His name is more prominent in the literary world of the Eastern Jin Dynasty.This article is mainly based on Cao Pi’s thoughts and literary works,combined with the historical and cultural background of the Wei and Jin Dynasties,and cites relevant research materials to explore Cao Pi’s position and influence in the history of Wei Jin literature.Cao Pi comes from the Cao family of Qiaojun.The Cao family of Qiaojun has a prominent background and talented people.Among them,members of the clan represented by Cao Xiu have had an important influence on Cao Pi’s life.Regarding Cao Pi’s life and deeds,historical records only give a brief record of his career.The investigation of his career experience can be roughly divided into four stages: the county inspector Xiaolian to the writing lang,Ju Zhangling to the doctor of Taixue,Shang Shulang to the Xiapi prefecture,and the tired move to Guangluxun.The issue of Cao Pi’s birth and death year is currently controversial,but based on his career experience,it can be inferred that he was born between 308-315 AD and died in 383 AD or later.Cao Pi’s thought is deeply influenced by the customs of the Eastern Jin Dynasty and the style of Cao’s family learning,forming a diversified ideological connotation that integrates Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism.His persistent pursuit of official career and the creation of his family biography and classic interpretations of Confucianism in his life embodies his philosophy of Confucianism;the principles of Confucianism and Taoism,and the creation of Taoist novels about the goddess.His ideological connotation with both Confucianism and Taoism;he has a deep understanding of Buddhist doctrines and then created Buddhist essays with strong Buddhism color,which also reflects his immersed in Buddhism in his thoughts.Cao Pi’s works are scattered and lost,and the existing works are mainly in three categories: poems,fus,and essays.Cao Pi’s 23 existing poems can be roughly divided into three categories according to the subject matter,such as Jiao Miao,Youxian,Four Times Miscellaneous Xing,and others.The whole presents the solemn and elegant style and the sorrowful style.There are 19 existing fus and essays.Among them,the dead and lost of fu works are serious.Most of them are fragments.According to themes,they can be roughly divided into four categories: chanting things,capitals,festivals,and performances;the literary works are relatively complete,with Confucianism,Du Lanxiang Biography,Zhiguai,Ode to crusade against Shu,and Prayer for rain.Taken together,Cao Pi’s Wen and Fu as a whole show the characteristics of harmonious melody,neat contrast,various images and rich content.Since the Eastern Jin Dynasty,under the influence of the special situation,literati generally adhered to Confucianism,keeping the standard,combining Confucianism and Taoism,but at the same time,Buddhism has entered the literary ideology system,so some literati have been deeply immersed in Buddhism.Cao Pi was influenced by Shilin fashion and formed the ideological connotation of Confucianism,Buddhism,and Taoism that was in line with the social trend of this period.He occupied a place in the Jin Dynasty literary world and had a certain influence on later generations.
