Since the Ministry of Education issued the Action Plan for Educational Informatization2.0,The educational informatization in China has entered the stage of rapid development and promote efficient classroom construction with technological innovation.The traditional teaching mode comes into being under the impetus of new have been impacted unprecedentlessly,and new teaching modes have emerged under the impetus of new technologies.As is known to all,English,as an international lingua franca,plays an important role in the communication and cooperation between countries in the world.The Ministry of Education of China has formulated new English curriculum standards,advocating task-based approach in English teaching and calling on English teachers to change the concept of “teacher-oriented” into “student-oriented”.However,in practical teaching,many teachers are not clear about the concept of task-based teaching and use it improperly so that the teaching efficiency is not high.Especially in rural primary schools,English teaching still uses the traditional teaching method,and English lessons tend to teach language knowledge.Therefore,English teaching in the field of basic education should be transformed from traditional “exam-oriented education” to “quality-oriented education” in the new era.As a new teaching model,the flipped classroom has unique advantages that the traditional teaching model can not compare with.The application of the flipping classroom model to English teaching can effectively break through the dilemma of rural English teaching and realize the deepening reform of English teaching in rural areas.Based on the in-depth study of the literature related to flipped classroom and task-based instruction,this study attempts to combine flipped class teaching concept with task-based teaching method.With the help of the classroom dispatch platform,the task-based teaching activity flow based on the flipped classroom is designed to improve the interest,attitude,classroom participation and English learning performance of rural primary school students so as to realize the deep integration of educational technology with English subjects.In this study,66 students from two parallel classes of Grade 5 of X Primary School were selected.In the early stage of the study,the author first made an investigation on the current situation of English learning among students in these two classes.Through the analysis of data,the author found that the English teaching activities in this school were organized in a single form,and students were not interested in English.In addition,students’ learning attitude and the participation in class is low.Therefore,the author took constructivism theory,blended learning theory and cooperative learning theory as theoretical basis under the guidance of the concept of flipped classroom teaching and Willis’ task-based teaching model and designed the process of task-based teaching activity based on flipped classroom,which includes three stages: online autonomous learning before class,offline task leading during class and online extension after class.At the same time,in order to verify the effectiveness of the process,Class 1 of Grade 5was selected as the experimental class(using the task-based teaching method based on flipped classroom),while Class 2 of Grade 5 was the control class(traditional teaching method)according to the final grades of the fourth grade.After 18 weeks of teaching practice,The results show that students’ learning interest,attitude and class participation in the experimental class are higher than those of the control class,and the scores in the post-test are much higher than those of the controlled class.In conclusion,the results show that the application of Task-based Teaching Approach based on Flipped Classroom can improve the quality of English teaching in rural primary schools and improve the attitude and interest of rural primary school students so as to increase students’ participation in the classroom.What’s more,Task-based English teaching activity flow based on Flipped Classroom has strong maneuverability and practical significance,which is worth promoting.However,this study still has some defects due to short experiment time,small sample size,researcher’s lack of ability and other factors,which need to be further improved later.
