A Study Of Bi Zhongyou’s Poetry

Bi Zhongyou was an important writer in the middle and late Northern Song Dynasty.Because of its outstanding political ability and prose skills,gradually attracted the attention of academic circles.Bi Zhongyou has 270 existing poems,so this paper intends to make a systematic and in-depth study of his poems in order to have a more comprehensive understanding of his poems.Through the study of his poetry,it is not only helpful to understand the creative style of the writers led by Su Shi in the middle and late Northern Song Dynasty,but also to know that the party struggle affects the changes in the official career of the literati and officials below and brings about the inner and creative changes.Bi Zhongyou poor,young diligent and studious,Xining three years into the scholar,remarkable achievements,but because of the party dispute in the first year of Chongning party membership,career bumpy.Its ability is outstanding,when people praise and more exchanges,such as with Ouyang Xiu,Si Maguang,Lu Gong,Su Shi,Fan Chunren,Chao Buzhi and others.The collection of extant poetry and prose,Xitai Collection,shows his high literary attainments.Its poetry genre is diverse,all bodies have both,especially good five ancient five laws.It is mainly divided into five categories: interlude poetry(including singing and poetry and farewell poetry),elegiac poetry,travel service poetry,frontier fortress poetry and writing poems.Singing and poetry mainly with relatives,friends,monks,examiners,such as Chen Zhimo,Su Shi,monk Yuanyi singing harmony.Farewell poems describe the talents and achievements of farewell objects and express their admiration or sympathy.The poems are divided into three categories: the members of the royal family,the friends and the poems.Deeply grieved by the death of Queen Mother Gao Tai,Ouyang Xiu,Si Maguang,Lu Gong and Fan Chunren,he replaced Fan Chunren with three elegiac poems and four poems.Travel service poetry and frontier fortress poetry are the focus of Bi Zhongyou’s poetry.Travel poems either express the helplessness of wandering,homesickness,or the unexpected joy of the journey.Frontier fortress poems either depict exotic customs or praise general morality to understand the development of fortress poems under the background of the Northern Song Dynasty.Writing Jing Yonghuai poems can best see the poet’s thinking about life,official officials,their own fate,mostly for the late years of Zhongyou,mainly pay attention to their own circumstances,express the feelings of official officials at different stages,describe the daily life of living alone or elegant collection,and care for the suffering of the people.It is precisely because of the variety of poetic themes,thus showing a variety of aesthetic style,make good use of beautiful,powerful,broad and desolate scenery,showing plain elegant,vigorous and heroic,depressed and cold artistic characteristics,the use of a large number of overlapping characters,and "take the text as a poem ",the language is straightforward and shallow,and more use of allusions,personification,exaggeration rhetoric,increase the artistic and image of poetry.Yuanyou period Zhongyou poetry towards maturity,so it is an important stage of its poetry creation.During the period,Bi Zhongyou’s poems "take writing as poem,talent as poem,discussion as poem" are more obvious,and Jiaoyou’s poems are obviously increased,so his own practice contributes to the "Song tune" and strengthens the team of poetry innovation.
