A Study On The Gratitude Stories In The Wei-jin And Southern And Northern Dynasties Strange Stories

In the period of Wei,Jin,Southern and Northern Dynasties,the story of repaying the favor was an important story type of the fantasy novels,which reflected the religious belief,social and cultural customs,and moral and ethical appeals of the people at that time.By means of literature review,text interpretation and interdisciplinary analysis,this paper makes a research on the background,story types,cultural connotation,artistic expression and literary influence of the stories of repaying kindness in the strange and strange novels of the Wei,Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties.The stories of gratitude in the strange and strange novels of the Wei,Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties did not come out of nothing.They came into being under the influence of multiple factors,such as accepting the thought of gratitude of the previous generation and inheriting the earlier works of gratitude and the background of The Times.The Confucianist thought of "benevolence" as an upper-class culture and the Mohist thought of "universal love",which speaks for small producers,have a guiding effect on the writing of the story of "recompense".At the same time,the thought of "ruling the world with filial piety" in the Han Dynasty made it a topic of general concern in the society to try our best to repay parents for their upbringing.In addition,compared with the stories of "karma" and "son inherits father’s favor" was often found in the strange novels of the Wei,Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties,which was related to the flourishing social situation of Buddhism and Taoism in the Wei,Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties.There are a large number of stories of gratitude in the strange and strange novels of the Wei,Jin and Southern and Northern belief contained in the stories of reparation of kindness in the strange and strange novels of the Wei,Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties from the aspects of ancient myths,witchcraft activities,folklore and the concept of life and death.The stories of gratitude in the strange and strange novels of the Wei,Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties are rich in themes and varied in types.However,if we study the texts,we can find that no matter what kind of themes and types of gratitude stories,they all have a relatively stable creation mode,namely,the rough and concise narrative language.The combination of absurdity and reality of the plot and the causality narrative logic of good and evil being rewarded.In addition,the development of literary works cannot be separated from the achievements of the predecessors,and the literature of gratitude is no exception.In the stories of recompensing kindness in the legends of Wei,Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties,the modes of requesting burial of the dead,recompensing kindness with the names of the dead,and recompensing kindness with animals have had an important influence on the later literature,and become the theme of imitation and innovation in the later literature.
