| Monotheism is one of the most important religious thoughts in Judaism,the essence of Jewish culture,and one of the most important ideas in the long history of human society.The study of monotheism seems to be a theological proposition belonging to religious category,but from the perspective of epistemology,the proposal and improvement of monotheism should be regarded as a new understanding of the world by early Hebrews.In terms of its spiritual essence,it is of the same great significance as the exploration of the world origin by Greek philosophers.In short,Greek philosophers use "reason" to understand the world scientifically and transform the world through scientific means;while Hebrew’s concept of monotheism reflects on the significance of human existence in the universe and establishes the important role of ethical system in western society.Specifically,the idea of Jewish monotheism refers to the belief in the existence of YHWH and the denial of the existence of other gods,which is characterized by uniqueness and exclusiveness.Judaism monotheism does not exist since ancient times.Most archaeologists and biblical scholars believe that monotheism has experienced a long process of development.What is the development process of Judaism Monotheism?The development and formation of monotheism is one of the focuses of Biblical academic circles.The answers to this question can be divided into three schools:evolution monotheism,revolution Monotheism and convergence monotheism.The author agrees with the convergence monotheism,and thinks that the formation of Jewish monotheism is closely related to the special historical experience of Hebrews.The weakness of national strength and the danger of geographical location make them suffer from repeated trauma.Hebrews under trauma need to use religion to gather national strength,comfort national pain and prevent national assimilation.Therefore,Hebrews should constantly improve their monotheism Monotheism ensures the continuity and development of the nation.On the basis of the existing research results,this paper will start from the details of each historical stage to study the development of Jewish monotheism.Firstly,the author will analyze the characteristics of Hebrew religious ideas in the primitive clan period,and explain the contribution of primitive clan religion to the formation of monotheism.Secondly,the author will analyze the influence of the Egyptian period and the United Kingdom period on the monotheism.Finally,the author focuses on the special prophet group of Judaism,which is the defender of monotheism.It is they who integrate the Jewish nation under the JHWH belief system and constantly improve and develop monotheism.Based on the above analysis,the author believes that the formation of monotheism in a strict sense has experienced a complex and changeable,long and tortuous development process.From this process,we can see that the Hebrew nation has made efforts to maintain national unity;in order to abide by national identity and refuse national assimilation,the Hebrew people of all ages have used this belief system to protect their group heritage Unity and cultural identity. |
