A Study On The Phenomenon Of "Violation Of Rites" In The Han Dynasty

The Han Dynasty was a period of initial creation of various systems,especially the ritual system,which was not perfect.Through the efforts of many generations,the rulers of the Han Dynasty finally formed the ruling situation of "Confucianism outside and law inside",which remained in use for more than two thousand years without changing its essence.Obedience and breach of propriety go hand in hand,both of which are social phenomena worthy of study.Scholars have made extensive and profound research on the ritual system of the Han Dynasty and the Han Dynasty,with abundant achievements,but the study on the system of the violation of ritual needs to be improved.This paper intends to sort out the "violation of etiquette" in the Han Dynasty from four parts.First of all,to clarify the meaning of "violation of rites" in Han Dynasty,that is,"violation of rites" is the violation of all kinds of external manifestations of "rites".According to this meaning,the phenomenon of "breach of propriety" can be divided according to different standards,which can be roughly divided into two categories: classification of nature of "breach of propriety" and classification according to social roles.Secondly,the classification of Han Dynasty breach of etiquette.If we can roughly classify them according to social roles and classes,they can be divided into emperor’s,clan’s,official’s,commoner’s and other aspects of breaches of etiquette.Third,the consequences of breach of etiquette.The consequences of breach the ritual,but also because of the imperfect system and complicated to those of breach behavior because of affection or common factors,cause will not be disciplined by rules or punish,but to those of breach by the superior of the objective factors such as subjective idea or public opinion and severe penalty,as "rites" together,usually distinguish between "against the ritual" and "illegal" the relationship and difference between to more deeply understand the meaning of "against the ritual" is of great significance.Fourth,the cause of the breach of etiquette.In addition to the consequences of personal acceptance,disobedience will also have some effects on the law,society and other aspects,and the root of which is to find out the cause of disobedience.There are three main reasons for the occurrence of breach of propriety,namely "overstep the rites","nominal rites" and "special rites".
