A Study Of Female Paintings By Contemporary Highly Colored Female Painters

In the contemporary social and cultural environment,with the improvement of women’s status and the awakening and growth of self-awareness,female artists have gradually begun to explore their own living conditions and social values,and have successfully showed a distinctive flavor of the times and unique artistic style in their paintings.In the creation of female figure,the group of female painters in the field of contemporary heavy color paintings have fully demonstrated the female beauty and female emotional world from the perspective of male painters.These female figure paintings with various styles and features have added bright colors to contemporary color paintings and become an important part of contemporary Chinese painting.The sorting out and style research of these paintings are helpful to inspire our creative thinking,and have important learning and reference significance for us who are in the stage of artistic creation exploration.This article can be divided into four parts.The first part mainly gives a brief overview of the contemporary female painters of color painting,which sorts out the general situation of the development of contemporary female painters of color painting and the phenomenon and reasons why most contemporary female painters of color painting take female theme to create figure paintings.The second part takes four female artists Jiang Caiping,Chen Zi,Zhuang Daojing and Yan Xiaoping as examples to illustrate the various styles of their female paintings-realism,freehand brushwork,decoration and comprehensiveness,and to interpret and analyze their representative works.The third part mainly discusses how they reflect the relationship between life and artistic creation in their creation,as well as the exploration of personalized artistic language different from male painters’ perspective.The fourth part is based on the above-mentioned research on female theme painting,starting from the author’s own creative practice,to make a systematic attempt and practice in the aspects of female image selection,style setting,material and technique performance,etc,and further to summarize the perception and creative experience in the process of practice.
