| After the World War II,the Italian Neo-realism movement has seen a rapid development,which,together with the wave of “the Newly Film Movement",makes the aesthetic film of Italian Neo-realism one of the important film schools.There are three artistic characteristics of Italian Neo-realism films: approaching originality and real life in narration,preferring live-action in shooting as well as selecting non-professional actors in casting.This kind of films are often accompanied by non-professional actors for their natural and plain performances make it easier to highlight the style of documentary and authenticity,which also makes them shine in that era.In contemporary China,many directors are also deeply affected by this style.For example,non-professional actors can be seen everywhere in the films of Jia Zhangke,Bi Gan and others.As a result,“The Summer of July” was also casted by non-professional actors when created,because the linear narrative style as well as dialect dialogue can be featured to show the real and natural rural life.Therefore,this paper will take non-professional actors as the research object so as to explore how non-professional actors shape their role in films.In this article,the author begins with the aesthetic style of Italian Neo-Realism films on the basis of the filmology,and,in a comprehensive way,analyzes the cognition and shaping of nonprofessional actors’ roles in mode of expression of video art based on his graduation design work "The Summer of July".All of this will present an artistic characteristics of professional actors’ naturality and authenticity,which brings a fresh creativity to the film art. |
