On Italian Film Style Of New Realism

Italian new realism film refers to the realism film movement which started in Italy in 1940 s.It shows the real life and struggle in the way of on-the-spot record.It has obvious sociality in terms of the content and the theme,advocates on-the-spot shooting,shows the daily life and fate of common people,so as to restore the original appearance of social life.Italian new realism film is very significant to the world's film aesthetics and film shooting practice.It has become the most important film phenomenon of the western film in this period.It is a complete aesthetic revolution from its content to its form,which is the second film aesthetic movement after the pioneer film movement and exerted profound influence on the world's film development,especially on China's sixth generations of directors.It also exerted an important influence on the creation idea and practice of my feature film,so under the guidance of the new realism creation style in Italy,especially under the influence of the film style of "Bicycle Thieves",I created and shot my feature film "The Secret Photographer".The feature film "The Secret Photographer" tells a story about Li Zhengjie,who is going study abroad,looks for a substitute driver after drinking liquor but accidentally gets involved in a well-planned fraud.It shows the encounter and choice as well as the desire and predicament of the "new bicycle thieves" with nowadays' social background.This thesis is based on the study of the aesthetic principles and creative ideas of Italian new realism films,especially the film ideas of "Bicycle Thieves",analyzes what the feature film "The Secret Photographer" referred to from the novel and its modern adaption,the reference of the lens language and the various factors behind the difficulties of different eras,so as to provide ideas for the film practitioners who shoot film which takes reference from and innovates based on Italian new realism style.
