| As a world-renowned contemporary artist,Kiefer’s works are profound,diverse in forms and philosophical.From his repeated depictions of "war","myth" and other themes,he awakens the German people’s reflection on history and points to the "collective unconsciousness" hidden deep in human kind.In his works,he transforms himself into a part of the "tree" and carries out an act of personal unconscious exploration.It can be seen that the central views conveyed in his works are highly similar with Jung’s theory of the unconsciousness.During Jung’s exploration of the theory of the unconsciousness,a large number of mandala schema created by Jung also overlap with symbols in Kiefer’s works.Through the interpretation of their different works created sharing the same theme and symbol,the subtle connection between Jung and Kiefer is revealed.This paper aims to put Kiefer’s works into different coordinate systems,so as to obtain a new interpretation of Kiefer’s artistic thought.This paper mainly discusses from the following four aspects: first,the relationship between Jung’s unconscious psychology theory and art as the starting point,explains the important role of artistic practice on Jung’s psychology theory,and the important influence of his unconscious theory on contemporary art;Secondly,through the views of Jung and Kiefer’s art,this paper explores the potential "unconscious" theory in Kiefer’s art thoughts.Thirdly,the importance of the "unconscious" theory to Kiefer’s artistic creation is explored through their works created under the same theme.Fourthly,through the analysis of Jung and Kiefer’s artistic practice of the phenomenon of image overlap,further explain Jung’s "unconscious" theory and Kiefer’s artistic creation of the inner spiritual connection;In the conclusion part,it is recognized that the relationship between psychology and art is increasingly getting close,and interdisciplinary artistic practice will undoubtedly bring more possibilities for artistic creation.The integration of consciousness and unconsciousness is the path to realize the individualization of art. |
