| Purpose:This study using classic face recognition model,including face recognition includes three stages(initial visual processing,face structure encoding,emotional connotation decoding)of the E-prime facial emotion recognition program paradigm,combined with the relevant scale,to explore the patients with schizophrenia in three stages of cognitive processing characteristics,reveal patients face information processing mechanism of emotion recognition.Methods:1.Investigation and research: collect demographic information and clinical data of all subjects with schizophrenia and normal volunteers recruited.2.Experimental study: The behavioral experiment of E-Prime was conducted to explore the recognition differences between schizophrenia and normal people in the three stages of face emotion recognition process.Results:1.Survey study:(1)Total score of negative and positive symptoms scale of schizophrenia was 49.68±16.47;total score of emotional intelligence was 107.01±17.39;total score of repetitive set of Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status was 452.37±81.86.total score of emotional intelligence of normal control was 151.79±21.99;total score of repetitive set of Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status was 502.40±90.26.(2)Differences in emotional perception were significant(p<0.05)among schizophrenia patients by gender,and there were no significant gender differences in positive versus negative symptoms,other dimensions of emotional intelligence,and all Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status dimensions;marital status was significantly different(p<0.05)in the dimension of emotional intelligence of management of others’ emotions,and in the total score of positive versus negative symptoms and all Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status’ factors,there was no significant difference in marital status.(3)Total positive and negative symptom scores,positive symptom scores,negative symptom scores and general psychopathology scores of schizophrenia patients were significantly negatively correlated with total scores of attention items in the Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status test(p<0.05);total Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status test scores were also significantly negatively correlated with total positive and negative symptom scores and total positive symptom scores(p<0.05).2.Experimental study: ANOVA of 2(group: patient and control)×3(task: object recognition,face recognition and emotion recognition)was used.The results showed that the main effect of the task was significant(F(2,102)= 235.7,P<0.05),the main effect between groups was significant(F(1,51)=212.6,P<0.05),especially the ability to recognize fear and anger in the stage of emotion recognition.Intergroup interaction with task was not significant(F(2,102)= 1.2,P<0.40).Multiple comparisons corrected for by Bonferroni showed that all comparisons were significant(P<0.05),the performance of gender recognition task was the highest,the performance of emotion recognition task was the lowest,and the performance of object recognition task was between the other two tasks.Conclusion:1.Facial-emotion recognition deficits in schizophrenia are general impaired information perception processing rather than emotion-specific.2.Schizophrenia has significantly worse than normal cognitive abilities in the object recognition stage,face recognition stage and emotion recognition stage,and the recognition of emotions is the worst,and the more severe the negative symptoms,the worse the perceptual ability;in the emotion recognition stage,specifically,the significant difference is greater for anger and fear,that is,patients have more severe processing impairment for negative emotions. |
