With the development trend of global informatization,modern information technology with multimedia and network has been involved in various industries.This influence is not only reflected in daily life,but also permeated into the education and teaching work.In the face of survival,this constantly changing IT environment of the ’Basic Education Curriculum Reform Outline(Attempt)’ put forward a clear request for teaching to improve the general application of IT to promote the integration as the theme.The new English curriculum standards also points out the direction for the reform of English education.Therefore,we should pay more attention to how to effectively use modern information technology to reform the traditional teaching mode,optimize the structure of English classroom,cultivate students core accomplishment,coordinate students’ sensory experience,and fully improve the effectiveness of English teaching,which is the aim of this study.In this study,there are two classes of junior middle school selected to carry out a teaching experiment for more than one year.The experiment shows that the application of modern information technology,combined with the result comparison and survey data analysis,which has a certain influence on the teaching effect.With the help of IT tools such as the Seewo whiteboard and the Speaking Smart Class,teaching can more easily arouse students’ interest in English learning,which can encourage their enthusiasm,broaden their international perspective,exert their subjective initiative in learning,and also benefit the teaching efficiency and improve students’ performance.
