Abstract/Summary:
In recent years,the rapid development of science and technology has been changing market growth of the artificial intelligence(AI)in our daily life,which has promoted not only the social development,but also the innovations of the industrial technologies.The source text of this report was selected from The Inhuman Power: Artificial Intelligence and the Future Capitalism.In the source text,it mainly talks about AI’s impact on human employment and survival in market economy,and helps human beings find a better solution in the future development of AI.According to the linguistic features,the sci-tech text is characterized by complex sentences and compact structure,as well as strong logicality and clear organization.This report is classified into five parts.Chapter one is task description.It mainly introduces research background,the source text,language features,significance and translator’s ability;Chapter two is the translation process,including pre-translation,while-translation and quality control;Chapter three presents the literature review,introducing the development,rules of skopos,fidelity and coherence,research status and significance of Skopos theory;Chapter four is case analysis,analyzing specific examples from lexical,syntactic and textual levels;Chapter five summarizes the findings and benefits,as well as limitations and suggestions in the translation process.Under the guidance of Skopos theory and analysis of stylistic features,its feasibility and rationality have been proved by case analysis.By writing this report,it has not only exercised the translation ability of sci-tech text,improved the understanding of translation theories and AI,but also provided some references for its theoretical research in the future.
