Research On The Teaching Of Chinese Culture Courses In The Royal University Of Phnom Penh,Cambodia

The learning of Chinese culture is accompanied by every stage of second language learners’ acquisition of Chinese,so culture teaching has obvious stages.The setting of cultural courses is one of the key points in the construction of second language teaching courses.Investigating the situation of Chinese cultural courses is helpful to grasp the current teaching situation of Chinese cultural courses in the advanced stage,put forward suggestions to improve teaching,and provide some reference for the teaching of Chinese cultural courses in the overseas advanced stage.Taking the teachers and students of the Chinese Department of the Royal University of Phnom Penh in Cambodia as the main objects of investigation,this paper investigates the teaching situation of Chinese culture courses in the advanced stage of international Chinese education.By means of interview and questionnaire survey,it is found that there are some problems in the curriculum,of Chinese culture in the Chinese Department of the Royal University of Phnom Penh,Camb odia,such as unreasonable class arrangement,single teaching approach and improper selection of teaching materials,which can be summarized into three aspects:the construction of teaching system,teaching approach and compilation of teaching materials.Based on the above findings,in my opinion,it is proposed that in the construction of the phased teaching system of Chinese culture,the category of phased teaching of Chinese culture should be clarified,the cultural syllabus should be formulated and the cultural courses should be set up scientifically.In terms of teaching approaches of Chinese culture courses,we should pay attention to the creation of target language cultural environment,the cultivation of local Chinese teachers and the development of new teaching resources.As for the compilation of Chinese Culture Curriculum textbooks,we should strengthen the research on the compilation of overseas Chinese Culture Curriculum textbooks,which should be more in line with local characteristics,more targeted and more practical.
