Lv Ye Xian Zong was written by Li Bai chuan in the in the middle of the Qing Dynasty.It is a full-length Chinese traditional serial novel with a variety of themes,100 chapters are included.It mainly tells a story about how master Leng Yu bing and his six prentices cultivate themselves to become immortals.The content of the novel involves all aspects of social life.It not only describes the process of the protagonist’s cultivation from the ordinary to the immortal,but also includes the struggle between loyalty and treachery in the imperial court,the joys and sorrows of several families,and the real historical events.It is a comprehensive novel.On the basis of the existing research results,this paper discusses the content with prototype implication in the paper from the perspective of Archetypal criticism,which is mainly divided into the following seven parts.The first part is the introduction.It mainly includes the research status of Lv Ye Xian Zong,the research significance and value of this topic and the interpretation of archetype-related concepts.The second part is the three dimensions of Lv Ye Xian Zong from the perspective of archetype.The author selects three typical aspects of myth dimension,psychology dimension and culture dimension to comprehensively discuss the archetype connotation in Lv Ye Xian Zong.The third part is the motif of enlightenment in Lv Ye Xian Zong.Through exploring the development of the motif of enlightenment,the author further combs the presentation of the motif of enlightenment in the novel,selects typical examples for in-depth analysis,and then deeply explores the psychological archetype behind the writing of the motif of enlightenment in the novel.The fourth part is the the Theme of Searching in Lv Ye Xian Zong.This paper explores the archetypal connotation of the novel from the perspective of the Theme of Searching.Under the overall framework of the Theme of Searching,it discusses the goal,process and reasons of the characters’ pursuit in the novel,as well as the relationship between various aspects and the Theme of Searching.The fifth part mainly chooses the archetype of the monster and the archetype of the celestial book to discuss the origin of their development and the archetype implication and narrative function presented in the novel.The sixth part is the Healing consciousness in Lv Ye Xian Zong.This paper explores the archetypal connotation of the text in the aspect of healing consciousness in connection with the theories of literary therapeutics,and analyzes the healing consciousness presented by the text for the society,the creation and the recipient in combination with the archetypal theory from three aspects: the text,the author and the reader.The seventh part is the conclusion.To clarify the main points,summarize the full text,and summarize the relevant conclusions of this study from the perspective of archetypal criticism of Lv Ye Xian Zong. |
