Travel navigation,online shopping,sending office documents,sharing instant fun,we have been completely inseparable from the Internet,it has infiltrated every inch of our lives,the double-edged sword of the Internet brings unlimited convenience to people’s communication,but also derived a lot of social problems.UNICEF warned in February 2019 that 70.6 percent of young Internet users between the ages of 15 and24 are at risk of online violence,bullying and harassment.Cyberbullying is different from traditional bullying because of its ability to use information and communication technology,the anonymity of the bully and the "inescapability" of the victim,and has aroused concern and thinking from all walks of life.Cyberbullying originates from real social problems and again has an impact on people’s normal work and life in real society.Therefore,reducing bullying behavior on the Internet is a necessary step to build a civilized and harmonious online society and even a better world.So what kind of individuals are likely to engage in bullying behavior toward people across the Internet? What are the mechanisms behind cyberbullying? Based on this background,this study,from the perspective of personal characteristics,external environment and their interaction,explores the relevant factors of cyberbullying behavior,aiming to find some traces of causing cyberbullying behavior,and deepen the understanding of the phenomenon of cyberbullying.On the basis of existing studies,this paper innovatively explores the mechanisms among social self-efficacy,moral disengagement,cyber perceived anonymity and cyberbullying,and verifying the mediating role of moral disengagement and the moderating role of cyber perceived anonymity between self-efficacy and cyberbullying.The study collected 877 subjects of all ages from all over the country through an online questionnaire,using the general interpersonal self-efficacy scale,Chinese citizen moral protector questionnaire,perceived anonymity questionnaire and cyberbullying scale,to measure the subjects by using SPSS24.0 Chinese version and Process3.3 plug-ins,Mplus7.0 for data analysis and processing,get the results of the study are as follows:On the whole,the average score of interpersonal self-efficacy,network awareness anonymity were higher than the theoretical median.The average score of moral disengagement,cyberbullying behavior were lower than the theoretical median.Men scored significantly higher than women on all variables of interpersonal self-efficacy,moral disengagement,cyberperceived anonymity,and cyberbullying.The scores of perceived anonymity and cyber-bullying were significantly higher than those of early and middle adulthood.Moral disengagement scores were significantly higher in early adulthood than in adolescents.The scores of high school education on cyber-perceived anonymity and cyber-bullying were significantly higher than those of college and graduate education and above.The score of moral disengagement of college education was significantly higher than that of high school education.Those who had experienced violence had significantly higher scores on both moral disengagement and cyberbullying than those who had never experienced violence.Interpersonal self-efficacy,moral disengagement and cyberbullying were significantly correlated in pair.Interpersonal self-efficacy can negatively predict the occurrence of cyberbullying.Interpersonal self-efficacy influenced cyberbullying through moral disengagement,moral disengagement played a partial mediating role in the relationship between interpersonal self-efficacy and cyberbullying.Online perceived anonymity had a positive moderating effect on the level of individual moral disengagement and cyberbullying.Moral disengagement significantly affected cyber-bullying under high level of cyber-perceived anonymity;The effect of moral disengagement on cyberbullying was not significant under low online perceived anonymity.This study discusses how to reduce individual cyberbullying behaviors more effectively to a certain extent,and studies and explores the mechanism of cyberbullying.It is hoped that through the research on the phenomenon of cyberbullying,the public will pay attention to it and jointly avoid the further development of such bad phenomenon.On the one hand,it can play a normative role in the governance of civilized and safe network environment and make it develop in a harmonious and positive way.On the other hand,it can also avoid the relocation of network social problems to the real society,bring negative impact to people’s work and normal life,and create a good and healthy moral atmosphere in the society.
