Multi-modal teaching provides a better development space for middle school English teaching,especially classroom operation and the implementation process.The implementation process is more substantial.Because the needs of students and teachers for teaching are met by the multi-modal teaching method through the help of various modalities and modal integration,which can effectively promote the full use of various functions in the classroom.It is greatly appreciated by teachers and students.Unanimously recognized,in middle school English teaching,the use of multi-modal may be able to rationally allocate picture,audio,and video textual course resources,and give full play to their role when we meet the different needs of students at different levels.At the same time,due to multi-modal teaching,it can enhance and transform memory.Its rich form and content can provide composite resources for students to learn.Multi-modal promotes interaction and group cooperation between teachers and students,and provides a good environment,which can help the different transitions between teachers and students,forming a kind of virtual reality and allowing students to play different roles to achieve the classroom.The complete application of teaching strategies can also use multi-modal evaluation to build a systematic knowledge system,promote the systematization of students’ knowledge,and achieve the purpose of cultivating students’ innovative and practical abilities.This study aims to solve the following problems:(1)What are the problems and shortcomings of current English classroom teaching? What caused these problems?(2)What is the influence of the growth mindset on the improvement of students’ comprehensive quality?(3)How to effectively carry out English growth mindset from a multi-modal perspective?First of all,through the method of literature research,the relevant concepts of "multimodal" vision and the specific process of the teaching mode of "growth mindset" are sorted out.Secondly,a questionnaire survey was conducted to further understand the current situation of English teaching from the perspectives of teachers and students.There are some problems and deficiencies of the middle English classroom teaching.First,teachers’ teaching philosophy is outdated;they don’t keep up with the needs of social development in their thoughts,and they don’t pay attention to the improvement of their professional methods.Second,the study of teaching content and textbook content is not deep enough,and there is no deep excavation of the textbook.Third,classroom teaching is still mainly taught by teachers,students’ sense of participation is not strong.This paper analyzes how to carry out classroom teaching of English growth from the multi-modal perspective: First,students,as the main body of classroom teaching,need to change their classroom role,so that students really participate in the classroom to give full play to the meaning of classroom teaching.Second,teachers should integrate the existing resources and think about how to stimulate students’ interest in English learning and train students’ thinking ability so as to cultivate students’ innovative ability.Third,teachers should aim to develop the ability of cooperative learning,enhancing the team spirit of students and improving the overall quality of students.Therefore,this paper discusses how to build an English growth mindset to promote the common growth of teachers and students.Teachers should combine advanced teaching technology to assist teaching.In order to improve students’ ability of listening,speaking,reading and writing in English learning,as well as the core English literacy of contemporary students,we create a real teaching situation for students based on the actual situation in life.Through the English growth mindset,to promote the common growth of teachers and students as the goal,and improve the teaching effect of the class.
