Southwest Anhui is located in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River plain.The late Spring and Autumn Period was a region frequently contested by Wu and Chu.In the late Spring and Autumn Period,Chu defeated Wu and gradually occupied the whole southwest area of Anhui until it was destroyed by Qin in the late Warring States Period.Therefore,the tombs in southwest Anhui during the Warring States period were Chu tombs,mainly concentrated in Qianshan,Anqing and Zongyang.After the establishment of the Qin Empire,because the reign time was very short,no Qin tomb has been found in the southwest area of Anhui.Western Han Dynasty,the southwest area of Anhui belongs to the jurisdiction of Lujiang County.The distribution of Han tombs is similar to that of Chu tombs,mainly concentrated in the Qianshan and Zongyang.Because the southwest area of Anhui burial in the cultural factors of the change has a certain rule,This paper attempts to study the process of how the Chu culture dominated in the Warring States Period gradually formed the unified Han culture in the southwest of Anhui Province.And try to analyze the Chu and Qin and Han to the region of the ruling strategy and other issues are discussed.The tombs of the Warring States and the Western Han Dynasty in the southwest of Anhui were basically small and medium-sized earth pit and vertical pit tombs.Part of the tomb has a tomb passage,head niche,two-storey platform and other ancillary facilities.According to the size of the tomb and the ratio of length to width,it can be divided into wide pit tomb and narrow pit tomb.In the Warring States Period,there were mainly funeral utensils of Chu style,and a few utensils with Qin culture and Yue culture factors.In the Western Han Dynasty,the cultural factors of the Han Dynasty gradually dominated,but the cultural factors of the Chu Dynasty still affected the shape and structure of tombs.he most obvious place is the burial ground.In the tombs of the Western Han Dynasty,there are some tombs with green paste mud.In terms of funerary utensils,the funerary utensils in the Chu tombs in the southwest of Anhui Province are mainly tripod,bean and pot,with few copper utensils,mainly weapons and bronze mirrors.The majority of implements with Chu cultural factors,there are also some Yue tripod,primitive porcelain and other implements with Yue cultural factors.In the Western Han Dynasty,the bean had disappeared,and the number of box and francium increased.The glazed pottery and model ware began to appear,and the number gradually increased.The factors of Chu culture in funerary articles are greatly reduced,and the cultural factors of Han Dynasty occupy the mainstream position.By analyzing the types,burial styles and burial utensils of the tombs in the southwest of Anhui from the Warring States Period to the Western Han Dynasty,and comparing with the relevant areas,this paper summarizes the route of Chu’s eastward march and the ruling strategies of Chu,Qin Dynasty and the Western Han Dynasty in the southwest of Anhui Province.
