Today’s contemporary art scene has become an important product of multiple perceptions, and is particularly dazzling in the era of global cultural intermingling.Behind its brilliance is the fact that a large number of artists are constantly acquiring knowledge and thinking from a large number of life experiences and existential situations, while searching for all possibilities of "Alienation" in the interface with the logic of daily life, and finally expressing it as some kind of heterogeneous logical space. It seems that today’s art creation is striving to distance itself from the everyday, showing a tendency of decentering and strangeness. The artists are trying to use all available media to create a heterogeneous logic as much as possible,to provide the audience with a cognitive space to think about the vision they are promoting. However, the crux of the problem lies in the openness of the ending and the need to leave room for the viewer’s imagination and reflection when reading the work or to stimulate the viewer’s critical thinking in order to achieve some kind of edifying purpose. In conveying the meaning of the work, the artist is accustomed to using the space that can create unfamiliarity and contradict the daily logic, the advantage of doing so is that it can make the audience confused when viewing, out of the habitual thinking,in time to generate discursive thinking.Since Brecht’s theater theory emerged earlier in time,it is reasonable to discuss whether art creators since then have been influenced or inspired by it.On the other hand,in the contemporary art scene since the end of the 20 th century, there are indeed many expressions that are very similar to Brecht’s theatrical view, especially in video art and participatory art.It is therefore very interesting to review Brecht’s theater theory today and compare it with the development of contemporary art. From the creator’s point of view,it is a creative thinking that is well established and systematic in the overall history of art,and there is also a large number of theoretical and live texts that are highly referential. And for young creators, this is a more efficient and successful case. And for critics and historians, its set of theoretical systems can be used as a kind of vein to sort out the history of modern and contemporary art,and of course as a criterion to evaluate certain kinds of art works.Based on some of the ideas in Brecht’s theater theory, this paper will try to list and interpret various phenomena and creative forms in today’s contemporary art,and then provide a set of thinking patterns and methodologies with reference value for future art creation.
