| The Classical Gardens of Suzhou bring together the aesthetic and spiritual connotations of the East,therefore the oil paintings of the Classical Gardens of Suzhou contains the aesthetic mapping and a haunting artistic complex of Chinese artists.Today,when Chinese aesthetic culture changes and recreates oil paintings,many oil painters regard the Classical Gardens of Suzhou as a medium for expressing their own artistic ideas,and they have made their own artistic choices in the face of contradictions.In addition to representational realistic oil painting,some artists try to negotiate the relationships between subject matter,language and meaning,using new cultural concepts to explore a new thinking that fits the artistic conception of the Classical Gardens of Suzhou,thus realizes the expansion and extension of oil painting performance to a certain extent.This thesis,based on the author’s creative thinking during the postgraduate period,uses expressive language as an exploration channel and adds new visual and cultural elements to the proposition of the Classical Gardens of Suzhou on the basis of pioneering innovations by the predecessors in order to combineimagery and media,conveying reflections on history and culture. |
