Research On Li Tiaoyuan’s Shu Ya

Li Tiao-yuan was a famous poet and scholar in Sichuan in the Qing Dynasty,Shu Ya was compiled by him,Shu Ya is an anthology of Shu poetry.Shu Ya consists of 20 volumes that mainly compiling poems by nearly 180 authors from the late Ming Dynasty to the early Qing Dynasty to the Qianlong period,totaling about 800 poems.Especially under the background of the cultural high-pressure policy in the early Qing Dynasty and years of wars in Shu,Li Tiaoyuan’s Shu Ya contributed so much that some Shu area’s poems can be compiled and circulated,,which set a good example for Sun Tongsheng’s Poetry Notes of the Whole Shu area in Qing Dynasty.At present,there is no research that is about Li Tiaoyuan’s Shu Ya.This article will be divided into five chapters to explore Li Tiaoyuan’s Shu Ya as follows:The first chapter discusses the background of Shu Ya from the aspects of historical background,academic background,family influence,etc.,based on the clues provided in relevant historical records,local records,chronology,and collections of literati.The second chapter uses the methods of literature collection and sorting,statistical induction and field investigation to sort out the description and version circulation of Shu Ya,and summarizes the compilation principles of Shu Ya.The third chapter starts from the text,and summarizes Li Tiaoyuan’s preferred style of poetry selection’s criteria,themes and themes when he compiled Shu Ya poetry;Poems with realistic themes,and make an inductive analysis of Li Tiaoyuan’s preferred poetry themes.The fourth chapter combines the relevant academic works of Li Tiaoyuan,links the background of the historical era,and uses certain literary and artistic methods to systematically analyze Li Tiaoyuan’s emphasis on character,Zong and Tang retro and poetic temperament reflected in Shu Ya poetic thought.The last chapter firstly clarifies that Shu Ya has the historical value of reflecting the social turmoil,military slack,and economic depression in Sichuan in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties;and then further clarifies that Shu Ya plays an important role in preserving the customs,ancient features and historical sites of Sichuan,etc.It focuses on the local literature value of Shu Ya in the compilation of local chronicles and local poetry collections of Sichuan,and systematically sorts out the citation situation of Shu Ya in local chronicles and poetry collections.
