In 2019,the Duke Qiu chime bells unearthed in the Zaoshulin cemetery M190 in Suizhou City have enriched Zeng’s archaeological materials.The content in the inscription involves issues such as Zeng’s first title,lineage,and the Kanggong principle in the dating of bronzes.History and culture provide important information.The content of the chime inscription reveals the exact date of M190.It can roughly arrange the chronological sequence of the three Zenghou,Zenghoubao,and Zenghoude in the middle of the Spring and Autumn Period,and fills the gap in the lineage of Zeng State in the middle of the Spring and Autumn Period.Promoted the research of Zeng State’s history and culture.At present,many scholars have conducted in-depth discussions on the historical and cultural issues of Zeng State’s and Sui State’s mystery,ethnicity,and Zeng State’s lineage,and have basically reached a consensus on Zeng State’s and Sui State’s mystery and ethnicity.Now Zeng State’s chime inscription reveals Zeng State historical information such as the first title,lineage,etc.,and can be mutually confirmed with the inscriptions of the Mijia Chime bells and Marquis Yu Chime in the same cemetery,which can further promote the research on the history and culture of Zeng State.This article uses the document method,the dual evidence method,combined with the handed down documents,archaeological materials and the contents of the Duke Qiu Chime bells inscriptions.The article is divided into five parts,the main contents are as follows:The first chapter is the introduction,explaining the research significance,research content,research methods and research status of this article.The second chapter is the interpretation of the inscriptions of Duke Qiu’s bells,and on the basis of combing the existing interpretations of the inscriptions of Duke Qiu’s bells,my own opinions are formed.The third chapter is to sort out the Marquis found in the tomb from the archaeological materials published by Zeng State,discuss the shape and utensils of Marquis’s tomb,discuss the age of Marquis,and sort the lineage of Marquis.Chapter Four discusses the issue of the time when Zeng State was first entrusted and the identity of Nan Gong.It is determined that the person who came to Zeng State was Nan Gong.The first ancestor Bo Kuo and Emperor Nan Gong are two generations.The fifth chapter combs the research of related scholars on the issue of "Kanggong" in the dating of bronze wares,and studies the applicability of "Kanggong Principle" based on the content of the inscription of Duke Qiu’s Chime bells.
