| Since the Industrial Revolution,the scientific and technological level of human society has been significantly enhanced,and the productive forces have developed rapidly.However,at the same time as material progress,various environmental problems began to emerge,and social and moral relations gradually became tense.Until the two world wars that broke out due to disputes between interests and survival,it brought a heavy blow to human society.As an important ethical thinker in Western philosophy in the 20 th century,Albert Schweitzer,his reverence for bioethics stemmed from his reflection on a series of social problems such as war,and was applied in the process of solving social and cultural crises.pregnancy.Schweitzer proposed that an ethical worldview must be rebuilt,with awe of life as the moral principle,so that people can get rid of the emptiness in their minds,ease the conflicts and contradictions between people and between people and other creatures,and guide the worldview that affirms the world and life.Finally,the concern for all things is realized at the level of social ethics,and then the harmonious and stable development of the whole society is promoted.The article is divided into three parts.It analyzes the formation background and theoretical system of Schweitzer’s reverence for bioethics.Interpretation of practical dilemmas.The first part of the article discusses the formation background and ideological origin of Schweitzer’s reverence for bioethics.The increasingly serious cultural crisis,the inhumane world war,and the rise of the animal welfare movement are the social backgrounds that prompted Schweitzer to think about "life".The nurture of a Christian family,theological attainments,and the experience of practicing medicine in Africa are the personal background for Schweitzer’s theory.At the same time,Schweitzer draws on the optimism-ethical world outlook of Kant and Fichte,Schopenhauer and Nietzsche’s will to life,Goethe’s natural philosophy,ancient Chinese ethical thinking,Indian ethical thinking,and the concept of life and Worldview opens up philosophical questions.The second part of the article focuses on the ethical ideological system with "reverence for life" as the core.In accordance with the requirements of an optimistic world view that reveres life and rebuilds ethics and affirms the world and life,based on the universal connection of life and the self-splitting of the will to life as a logical starting point,by pursuing a humanitarian and devotional view of life,expand ethical concerns to all life,and finally realize the solidarity of the will of life.In the last part,the article makes an overall and objective evaluation of awe bioethics.This paper summarizes the theoretical progress of reverence bioethics in getting rid of the shackles of egoism and advocating the equality of life,and points out the limitations of its thought in dealing with the laws of natural development,the differences of living bodies,and the relationship between life and non-life.Then,based on the real problems faced by the current human society,the practical significance of awe bioethics is briefly summarized.First of all,the country should uphold the humanitarian spirit and carry out humanitarian mutual assistance.Secondly,the society must adhere to the bottom line of social ethics of respecting life,and extend this bottom line to the coexistence of humans and non-human beings,so as to realize the harmonious coexistence of all living beings.Finally,individuals should carry forward the life values of devotion and dedicate their lives within the range of life tolerance. |
