| In the 1970 s,language researchers in western countries proposed interactive teaching,and in the 1980 s,interactive teaching research made qualitative development and became a new and effective teaching mode.Under the requirements of the new curriculum reform and quality education,reading class as an important content of high school English curriculum teaching,can’t only be satisfied with the textbook knowledge learning,extracurricular reading and learning are also necessary.The traditional “one class” reading learning is not conductive to the development of the students,while the multi-modal interactive reading learning is student-centered,students actively participating in the classroom,and it gives better play to their enthusiasm,and promote the all-round development of students and cultivate compound talents.The effective reading teaching mode is prepared for teacher’s attention and love.This study refers to the relevant literature on multi-modal teaching and interactive teaching at home and abroad,based on multi-modal theory and interactive theory.Seventy-seven students and several teachers from a high school in Harbin were selected as the research subjects,and on the basis of predecessors,teaching strategies including situational introduction,new teaching and summary,were put forward to better promote interactive teaching and give full play to their greatest advantages.The control class adopted the traditional reading teaching mode,and the experimental class adopted the interactive mode and teaching strategies.This study also used questionnaires,performance tests,interviews,and classroom observations designed to investigate whether there was any change in students’ learning attitudes,reading interest,and reading motivation under the influence of interactive teaching and corresponding teaching strategies.The research questions in this study are:(1)What teaching strategies do teachers adopts to promote interactive teaching?(2)Can interactive teaching improve students’ interest in reading and reading motivation?Through the analysis of the data,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)situational introduction strategy,diversified activity organization,and consolidation and feedback strategies can help to maximize the advantages of interactive teaching and realize the student-centered concept in the reading classroom.(2)Through the influence of interactive teaching and several teaching strategies,student’s English learning attitude has changed greatly.They actively participate in the classroom and discuss with each other between students.The atmosphere is warm,and the degree of reading interest and motivation has increased. |
