The Influence Of Morandi’s Painting Art On My Graduation Series "Static·Time And Space"

The painting language of Morandi can be descried as peaceful,introverted,simple and clear but also subtle and plump.The soft and elegant gray system,coupled with the minimalist geometric form and unique space,presents an authentic and perceptible eternal beauty,thus having a far-reaching impact on painting art.Following the previous research and thoughts about the present,the author created a series of Chinese paintings named "Silence · Time ＆ Space" which described the author’s learning and living conditions in different spatial environments with four scenes.In these Chinese paintings,the author intended to explore the original meaning of painting from Morandi’s painting language,and accordingly organized the light,shadow,shape and color closely following the author’s feelings.In addition,the author adopted the dark gray tone in the color setting and paid attention to the control of rhythm and pace.In the shaping,the layout that can highlight the main structure was deliberately selected to emphasize the introverted and low-key character dynamics and its subtle relationship with the surrounding still life.Meanwhile,the construction of space highlighted the sense of modern composition,the interleaving,superposition and flow of space,thus emphasizing the static-dynamic combination.By creating these Chinese painting,the author strives to convey a calm and indifferent attitude towards life.
