As a social norm,Tibetan Buddhism plays an incomparable role in the harmonious development of society. In particular, the ecological thought of Tibetan Buddhism regulates the equality and respect between man and nature on the Qinghai Tibet Plateau. This paper analyzes and combs the formation process, main characteristics, thought and contemporary value of Tibetan Buddhist ecological thought. It is divided into three parts. The first part is the introduction, which mainly introduces the background and significance of the topic, innovation and research methods,as well as the review at home and abroad. The second part is the main body, which is divided into four chapters. The third part is references and appendices. The first chapter summarizes and states the spread of foben in the Qinghai Tibet Plateau and the development of its thought. The first section first introduces the historical period before and after Buddhism was introduced into the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, and analyzes the political, economic, cultural and other backgrounds of the early prosperity, achievements and development period of Qianhong period,as well as the Buddhist thought in different periods. It can be seen that Qianhong period began in Songzan Ganbu period and ended in chizudezan period. In the early prosperity period,Buddhism was just the beginning of the spread, and did not form Tibetan Buddhist thought, but formed in the latter two periods.Secondly,it introduces the historical Houhong period when Buddhism was introduced into the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, and summarizes and analyzes the social background and main Buddhist thoughts of the Houhong period. The post Hong period, which began in the tenth century,is the revival period of Tibetan Buddhism. There are many Tibetan Buddhist sects in the post Hong period, forming different ideas, which are numerous and complete. The second section summarizes and states the history and ideological development of Bon.Firstly,it introduces the three stages of the historical development of Bon,that is,benediction, harmony and awareness.Secondly,it summarizes the main ideas of Bon,that is,the worship of Lu God,Nian God,praise God,earth God and so on.The second chapter summarizes and analyzes the formation and characteristics of Tibetan Buddhist ecological thought. The first section summarizes the formation of Tibetan Buddhist ecological thought.Through reference and analysis of literature,it is known that the formation process of Tibetan Buddhism is also the formation process of its ecological thought. After Buddhism was introduced into Tibet in the 7th century,it experienced four struggles of different degrees. The last struggle led to the silence of Buddhism in Tibet for more than 200 years.Until the second half of the 10 th century,Tibetan Buddhism began to revive because of the satisfaction of various social conditions. It established itself in Tibetan society in different forms in the past, which also marked the formation of a unique ecological thought of Tibetan Buddhism. The second section analyzes the characteristics of Tibetan Buddhist ecological thought.Through reading and analyzing references,it is concluded that the primary problem for plateau Tibetans is to solve the problem of good people and nature. What is man’s position in the natural environment, how should man deal with the relationship with other creatures, and how to bring the relationship between man and man,man and society into the track of respecting nature on the basis of solving the relationship between good people and nature. The thinking and solution of these problems have formed the Tibetan concept and lifestyle of universe, nature and life, which we call Tibetan ecological protection thought. The thought of ecological protection refers to the value of ecology and the norms of human behavior.Tibetan ecological protection thought is carried out around coordinating the relationship between man and nature. Its basic characteristics include four points: respecting and respecting life; The relationship between man and nature;Promote harmony between man and society;Promote harmony between man and nature. The third chapter summarizes and analyzes the ecological protection thought in the theory of Tibetan Buddhism. The first section is the thought of ecological protection in Buddhism. They are the thought of ecological protection in Buddhist doctrines such as the Eightfold Path, the theory of origin, the Three Dharma Seals,Yizheng Buer and Buddhist festivals.Buddhism emphasizes that people understand the truth of suffering in life and requires cultivation, eliminating evil and following the good, which includes the idea of respecting life and protecting the environment. The second section is the thought of ecological protection in Bon religion. They are the ecological protection thought in nature worship, animal worship and other Bon worship. The nature worship and animal worship of Bon religion have affected the behavior habits and treatment of nature of Tibetans.Because of this worship idea, the creatures of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau can be protected, and people and animals can reproduce from generation to generation. The fourth chapter explores the contemporary value of the ecological protection thought of Tibetan Buddhism. The first section is the theoretical value of Tibetan Buddhist ecological protection thought. The Marxist ecological view emphasizes that nature is a universal unity, and the thought of Buddhist origin also advocates and emphasizes that all things in the world are interrelated and cause and effect each other. Therefore, the ecological thought of Tibetan Buddhism is in line with the content of Marxist ecological thought, and as a traditional culture,it has a certain reference value for solving environmental contradictions in today’s society. The second section is the practical value of the ecological protection thought of Tibetan Buddhism.Tibetan Buddhism is essentially a practical thought, which affects people’s thoughts and behaviors. It emphasizes that human beings should live in harmony with animals, fear nature and protect the natural environment.
