| The dulcimer has been handed down and reformed in China for over 400 years,and has become an indispensable stringed instrument among Chinese folk instruments.Most of its traditional musical works are folk music from various genres and regions,which have been changed and arranged by composers and passed down to us.In recent years,influenced by Western compositional techniques,the works of the dulcimer have also incorporated a large number of modern musical elements into their traditional musical culture.The dulcimer Concerto "Phoenix Nod",composed in 2002,is a typical dulcimer work that blends traditional and modern musical styles.The rhythms of the piece are imitated by the dulcimer and the piano,and the music is composed in a modern style,using modern musical patterns and harmonies,combining traditional and modern,Eastern and Western musical styles.During my studies,I played and studied the piano accompaniment version of the dulcimer Concerto "Phoenix Nod",and in this article,I will also analyze it based on my own playing experience and insights.This paper will examine the dulcimer Concerto "The Phoenix Nod" from three perspectives.The first part,understanding the background.This paper provides a comprehensive understanding of the dulcimer Concerto "Phoenix Nod" in terms of the background of the composer,the context in which the work was written and the musical structure.In the second part,the modern musical style of the piece is analyzed.The composer of the work uses modern musical elements such as harmony,rhythm,meter,and performance techniques,and analyzes the modern musical style of "Phoenix Nod" from these aspects.The third part analyzes the traditional music style in the piece.The work is based on the traditional Chinese opera culture-Beijing opera,and incorporates many traditional musical elements.This part analyzes the Beijing opera percussion elements used in the piece,explores the aesthetic characteristics of the Beijing opera percussion elements,and explains the influence of the traditional Chinese Beijing opera culture on the art of dulcimer. |
