As a multi-lingual environment country,Singapore maintains an iterative and updated attitude in the teaching system and utilization of resources for Chinese language learning.However,the COVID-19 has forced the suspension of offline teaching and the rapid development of online teaching under the rapid development of the Internet.Through 2 years of online teaching practice,the author has screened three children whose profiles are native English speakers,living in Singapore,6-10 years old,boys with three personality traits,and whose Chinese language levels are children in grades 2-4 or YCT 3-4 of Singapore’s “Huanle Huoban”.This paper will be divided into five areas in total.The first part is an overview of the research background,research significance,methodology and literature review of online Chinese language teaching for children in overseas countries and Singapore;the second part is a study of the learning situation,learning content and motivation of online Chinese language teaching for children in Singapore and elaborates on the problems of online Chinese language classes according to this viewpoint;the third part is an analysis based on the situation of children in this range and the problems of online classes,and gives teaching The fourth part is a case study on how to teach Chinese online to Singaporean children based on the theory of teaching Chinese online to children;the fifth part is a “full version of online teaching case study” compiled by the author to provide a reference model for budding teachers.Research shows that online teaching is efficient,convenient,professional,and innovative,allowing children to easily learn the latest knowledge at home.However,due to the rapid development,the author found some problems with online teaching for children in this school section in Singapore,such as low utilization of teaching resources,low acceptance by children,and single means of teaching.Through this study,the author hopes to make the online Chinese teaching classroom for children in Singapore more innovative and professional.
