The Aesthetic Evolution Of Thematic Prints From A Historical Perspective

Thematic creation is an art form with unique Chinese aesthetic characteristics.Under the guidance of left-wing thought,it continues to grow with the rise of the emerging woodcut movement.After China’s printmaking has experienced the criticism of reality,the reproduction of life,the awakening of self-consciousness and the practice of new media forms,the gradual enrichment of the expression form and spiritual core of thematic printmaking shows a unique aesthetic character.Firstly,this paper defines the specific concept of theme in the introduction.Then it studies the aesthetic evolution direction of thematic prints in the process of Chinese social development from different historical perspectives.Explore the aesthetic evolution process of thematic prints under the influence of historical factors,technical factors,traditional aesthetic cultural factors,political guiding factors and current aesthetic needs.Under the division of five historical periods,thematic prints have experienced the aesthetic tendency of Europeanization,which was obviously influenced by foreign countries in the early stage,the beginning of revolutionary and nationalized aesthetics after the outbreak of the war of resistance against Japan,the lyrical and regional aesthetic transformation after the founding of new China,the aesthetic enlightenment of "local" and "Customs" of reform and opening up,and finally evolved into today’s diversity Diversified aesthetic pursuit.The aesthetic evolution direction of thematic printmaking,on the one hand,stems from the aesthetic needs of Chinese society in the changing development,but also the aesthetic presentation of the achievements of Chinese cultural construction.On the other hand,it comes from the absorption and integration of the aesthetic concept of international contemporary art,that is,to build China’s local discourse system from the perspective of globalization.Its aesthetic value permeates all aspects of economy,politics,humanities,spirit and international perspective.In the new era of rapid dissemination of global information,artistic image represents the spiritual outlook of a country.Thematic prints shoulder the important mission of enhancing national cultural self-confidence and identity,and make contributions to the construction of the current cultural power.
