Temporality In The Evolution Of New Media ——Clues To The Creation Of Image Art

Following the industrial revolution,people’s hands were freed by mechanized tools and thus the mechanized age freed some of their sensory experiences.This era gave birth to new mediums that rapidly extended our senses,all of which were directly linked to video art.From the typewriter to the cinema,people have experienced the fusion of the senses,from illusion to audio-visual,and the fusion of the senses has allowed the creative field of video art to be refined and expanded.The thread of artistic creation continues.The boundaries of the temporal media in the creation of video art in different media are also important clues that lead to their creation.This paper examines the issues involved in the temporality of video art creation in the evolution of various media from the perspective of media studies.In defining media,temporality and video art in the context of this paper,it is found that the development of video art is inseparable from the evolution and progress of new media,and that temporality is an important catalyst for the evolution of media,as different media have different capacities to carry and store content,and people get different sensations from them.And the art of creation always opens the way for new media to but in the relief of numbed senses.This reflects the interplay between art and media technology,and finally,the paper concludes with a summary and dialectical consideration of what art-making reveals about media.
