Ming Dynasty’s "Shan Hai Jing·Overseas Jing" Foreign Animal Illustration ——Print Language Application Research And Creative Analysis

The Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty is the golden age of the development of Chinese ancient prints,Mr.Zheng Zheng said in the book ’ History of Chinese ancient woodcut painting ’ : ’ The achievements of Chinese woodcut painting in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty are both elegant and popular.Quantity is large,quality is high,almost no books no illustrations no drawings no exquisite,in the history of woodcut,Wanli era is undoubtedly a golden age ’This paper mainly studies the engraving language of the existing four volumes of Shanhaijing·Overseas in the Ming Dynasty from the engraving illustrations of some exotic animals in the Shanhaijing in the Ming Dynasty.According to the understanding and expression of exotic animals by different celebrities in the Ming Dynasty,and the changes in the same subject matter in the Ming Dynasty and other periods,this paper expounds and analyzes the creation of silk screen prints combined with modern favorite illustrations.
