Nowadays,online Chinese teaching develops rapidly.Micro-lectures are welcomed by Chinese learners all over the world because of their characteristics such as "small but sophisticated".Since 2018,the National Micro-lecture Competition of Chinese Teaching for postgraduates launched by Beijing Tang Chinese Education has been held for three times,which provides a platform for researchers to know the current situation of micro-lecture designed by the students majoring in MTCSOL.This paper takes 50 samples from the works of three National Micro-lecture Competitions of Chinese Teaching for postgraduates to investigate the overall situation of MTCSOL students in micro-lecture design,such as selecting topic,setting teaching goal,arranging teaching activities and so on,analyze the design ideas and tendencies of MTCSOL students,and summarize the universal characteristics and shortcomings of the MTCSOL student in micro-lecture design.The MTCSOL students are prone to set adult students studying in China as teaching objects,whose native language is English and Chinese proficiency is elemantary.The existing shortcomings include the setting of teaching objects is not accurate enough,the teaching objectives do not fully match the Chinese level of students,the introduction methods are not diverse enough,the practice methods are lack of interaction,the form of cultural micro-lecture is rigid and teachability is insufficient,etc.Through reflection,I believe that the reasons for the deficiency are that the MTCSOL students have a low understanding of micro-lecture,lack of online teaching experience,plus training units do not pay enough attention to the cultivation of MTCSOL students’ online teaching ability,etc.According to this,I put forward several suggestions from the perspectives of MTCSOL students themselves,training units and international Chinese teaching circles.
