Subway Station Area Identification System From The Perspective Of Regional Culture Design Study ——Taking Xi’an Metro Line 6 As An Example

As an important tool to assist passengers to identify subway spatial information,subway signage system plays a special role in the space environment of subway stations.Under the background of the rapid development of subway construction,the construction of subway sign system in various cities has been continuously improved.After the realization of standardization,the requirements for the construction of subway sign system have not only stopped at the realization of functionality,but gradually explored the manifestation of regional culture and urban connotation,further promoted the visual diversity of subway sign system,and improved the urban aesthetic tension.This paper takes the sign system of Xi’an Metro Line 6 as the research object,excavates the regional culture,integrates it into the design of the city’s subway sign system,in order to spread the city’s historical culture and humanistic spirit,and inject new forces into the construction of the city’s visual image.The purpose of this paper is to study the design method of the subway station sign system from the perspective of regional culture,make full use of the subway station space to highlight the urban characteristics,and put the hard identification signs,guidance signs,service signs,information signs,mural posters and other soft artistic signs into the scope of the subway sign system.Through consulting relevant literature,on-the-spot investigation,design practice and other research methods,this paper puts forward the design strategy of the subway station area identification system,and refines and applies Xi’an regional cultural symbols from the perspective of graphics,text and color through the design approach of vivid form,freehand writing and interesting color.This paper is divided into four parts.Firstly,it constructs the relevant theories of the design of the subway station identification system,combs the relevant theoretical basis of regional culture,subway identification system and subway station area,and discusses the necessity of regional culture intervention in the subway identification system from the perspectives of promoting regional culture,highlighting urban characteristics and improving passengers’ cultural identity;Secondly,it explores the design strategy of the subway sign system from the perspective of regional culture,analyzes the use of regional cultural symbols in the sign systems of various countries,and obtains the requirements and principles of the subway sign system design from the perspective of regional culture,and discusses the application ways of regional culture in the subway sign system from three different angles: graphics,color and text;Then it investigates and analyzes Xi’an regional culture and the identification system of Xi’an Metro Line 6,and studies and refines Xi’an regional culture from three aspects: Xi’an material culture,spiritual culture and representative regional culture along the Metro Line 6.From the perspective of different sign system types,this paper summarizes the design status of sign system of Xi’an Metro Line 6,analyzes the application of regional culture in different design elements,and combs its areas to be improved;Finally,Take Xi’an Metro Line 6 as an example to design the identification system,and select the representative cultural characteristics of Datang Xishi station,satellite measurement and control center station,Xi’an south station and Guangji Street station to design the subway murals.In order to further spread the city image,and provide ideas for the future related design and research.
