Analysis Of Ordos Saddle Making Techniques

This paper consists of introduction,three main chapters,conclusion,bibliography and appendix.The introduction includes a summary of saddle research,the purpose of topic selection,research methods and so on.The first chapter,the author combs the track of emergence and evolution of saddle on the basis of historical documents,previous research achievement and folklore.Based on the data collected during the field investigation in Ordos City,Etoke Banner,Wuxian Banner,Hangjin Banner and some other places,the writer analyzes and summarizes the inheritance status of Ordos saddle,and analyzes in detail the overall structure of it.The second chapter,the saddle-making techniques in Ordos are divided into two parts: trimming saddle wood and installing saddle,and the rules of installing order and the content of saddle-making techniques are analyzed and expounded。The third chapter,the writer analyzes the relevant customs of saddle in Ordos,including the custom of making and installing saddle,the custom of using saddle and the custom of storing saddle,and expounds the historical origin and contemporary significance of the custom of advocating and symbolizing saddle.Conclusion part,the writer summarizes the content of the whole paper,and puts forward her own opinions from four aspects:the generation,evolution track,structural characteristics and inheritance status of Ordos saddle.
