| "Teacher,so preach and teach to dispel doubts." Teachers are often regarded as the soul and core of schools because of their special attribute of multiple tasks.Among many groups of teachers,part-time teachers are in a special position.China’s current education policy allows teachers to take part-time jobs,but in practice,it is found that part-time teachers mainly exist in vocational colleges,and there are many problems.As a common educational phenomenon in the Republic of China,part-time teachers were beneficial to the development of higher education at that time.Moreover,the government and universities have issued a series of laws and regulations to legalize and standardize part-time teachers.From this perspective,this thesis explores the part-time behavior of college teachers in the Republic of China,and provides experience for the current construction of higher education.Therefore,this thesis mainly uses historical research methods to access a large number of relevant materials,including the compilation of materials of the Republic of China,educational yearbooks,historical archives of famous universities,news thesises and magazines issued in modern times,diaries,letters,chronicles,memoirs and educational works of relevant university professors.Based on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory,this thesis analyzes the reasons for part-time teachers in colleges and universities in the Republic of China,and summarizes its characteristics.The problems arising from part-time courses make the government and universities standardize them,learn from history,and provide experience and reference for current college teachers and teacher management.This paper consists of six chapters.The first chapter,based on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory,analyzes the influencing factors of college teachers’ part-time jobs in the Republic of China according to the five dimensions of demand from low to high(physiology,safety,belonging and love,respect and self-realization).The second chapter introduces in detail all kinds of phenomena and situations of college teachers taking part-time classes outside the school in a specific era,and selects typical public and private universities for analysis and comparison.In the third chapter,aiming at the common social phenomenon of part-time teachers,our government and universities put forward specific measures for the management of part-time teachers in the Republic of China,standardized the behavior of part-time teachers outside the school,legalized and standardized part-time teachers,and promoted the development of higher education in China.The fourth chapter summarizes the characteristics of part-time courses for university teachers in the Republic of China.The fifth chapter discusses the influence of teachers’ part-time courses on schools,society and teachers at that time according to the consequences of teachers’ part-time jobs.The sixth chapter puts forward the management and supervision of university teachers on the basis of studying the management system of university teachers in China and combining with the legalization of university teachers in China. |
