| It has been of great humanistic value and social significance to depict the farmers’ living conditions since ancient times.Pieter Bruegel’s works on the subject of peasants have their unique emotional values and observation perspectives.This study aims to explore Pieter Bruegel,who is a Netherlands master,“peasant painter”,expressing his emotion in the paintings of peasants taking farmers as the first perspective of painting creation.The author tries to find the characteristics of its paintings through the analysis of Pieter Bruegel’s peasant works reproducing the historical style and material life of the Netherlands in the 16 th century.Pieter Bruegel combined his attitude with foreign culture to form his own unique perspective and thoughts.Then he run through his peasant works by using the technique of complanation in medieval paintings and the more in-depth and detailed expression methods in traditional Netherlands paintings.Based on the traditional Netherlands proverbs and religious stories,he blended some Italian Renaissance thoughts and expressed his deep feelings towards the Netherlands nation by using paintings with the subject of peasants.It is useful to understand the arrangement of the characters and scenes and the inheritance and development of Netherlands culture in Pieter Bruegel’s works,from which we can learn the way of emotional expression of objects so as to better combine peasants’ life and spiritual connotation from the perspective of farmers in future paintings,and sublimate the emotional significance of artistic works. |
