Studies On The Legal System In Xizhou In Tang Dynasty

As the one of the most representative feudal time, the Tang Dynasty, the most prosperous period of time in Chinese history, has being drawn a great attention of experts and scholars all over the world. The Tang Dynasty’s prosperity has led the world in economy, culture, law, arts, etc. While its border state, Xi Zhou, has being the hot topic for its mixed inhabitant, multiple culture and the irreplaceable position for the communication between China and the West. The unearthed documents and materials, include civil contract, authorities’debt and court verdict, from tombs in Turfan Basin has become the important references on studying about every aspects in this region from Gao Chang to Xi Zhou. The author of this thesis sorts out these documents and materials into business, crime, administration and lawsuit. By studing legal situation of Xi Zhou in Tang Dynasty, analysing the social economic pattern of Xi Zhou and laying stress on the civil-business relationship, the thesis aimed at becoming an source of reference for the further and future study.
