A Comparative Study Of The Trump-administration’s Nuclear Policies Against Dprk And Iran

This paper will discuss the purpose and significance of the topic from the perspective of the interactions between the United States,north Korea and Iran on the nuclear issue since the trump administration took office.This paper attempts to construct a comparative analysis framework of the us foreign nuclear policy.It will interpret the reasons for the adjustment of the US foreign nuclear policy from the perspectives of the US national security,the geostrategic needs of the us and the maintenance of the international nuclear mechanism.The geostrategic needs of the United States correspond to the "regional" level;Maintaining the international nuclear regime at the level of the "international community" and basing each level on the subjective and objective nature of national security;Strategies and tactics of geographical demands;The vertical and horizontal dimensions of the maintenance of the international nuclear regime are divided into two dimensions for analysis.Based on the above six dimensions,as well as the nuclear policy of the trump administration on the DPRK and the Iranian nuclear policy,this paper sorts out and summarizes the previous research results and reviews them by using the methods of literature analysis and comparative analysis.The article main body part,respectively to trump the government on the Korean nuclear issue and the Iranian nuclear issue related position and policy measures in accordance with the order of the time for a brief overview,and then using the above established the comparison of American foreign policy analysis framework,from three levels,the six dimensions to resolve trump the government on the Korean nuclear issue and the Iranian nuclear issue of the cause of policy orientation.Finally,based on the above research results,the influence of the above six dimensions on the formulation and adjustment of the trump administration’s foreign nuclear policy is comprehensively analyzed and the leading factors are found.Through vertical comparison and analysis,it can be concluded that the breakthrough of the actual nuclear and missile capability of the DPRK after taking office is the main factor for trump to reverse the previous us administration’s nuclear policy towards the DPRK.However,the adverse impact of Iran’s development of nuclear technology on other countries in the Middle East and the resulting adverse impact on the U.S.interests in the Middle East is the significant motivation for the trump administration to reverse the Obama administration’s nuclear policy towards Iran.At the same time,through horizontal comparison and analysis,it is precisely because of the differences in the actual nuclear and missile capabilities of the DPRK and Iran,as well as the influence of other countries in the DPRK and Iran,that the trump administration’s nuclear policy on the DPRK and Iran is polarized.But the emphasis is different.The former is more to moderate the trump administration’s policy towards north Korea,while the latter is more to harden the trump administration’s policy towards Iran.To according to the further deduction,as can be expected in the United States is the result of the tough sanctions,Iran’s nuclear ability to guide the possibility of a huge increase in a short time,on the other hand,in view of the northeast Asian region geopolitical landscape is relatively stable,north Korea on checking the domain,the influence of other countries are relatively limited,so the government trump partial restraint,partial moderate policy on north Korea,partial radical,partial hard-line policies on Iraq in the foreseeable future will continue.
